Welcome to TripTailor! Please read these Terms and Conditions "Terms" carefully before using our services. By signing up, creating or joining a trip, or accessing any part of TripTailor, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Overview

TripTailor is a travel platform that allows users to:

Join group trips curated by other users or TripTailor.
Create and host trips for like-minded travelers.
Access flexible travel experiences through our Pay-As-You-Go trips or Packaged Trips.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use TripTailor. By registering, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and that you are legally permitted to travel.

3. Trip Types

A. Pay-As-You-Go Trips

These are short, flexible group trips (e.g., brunch meetups, day trips, local hangouts) created by everyday users or local hosts.

Participation Fee: You pay a small non-refundable participation fee (5% of the trip budget, capped at £50) at the time of booking.

Trip Creation: Anyone can create a trip. Hosts earn a share of the participation fees.

Changes & Cancellations: You may leave a trip before the event, but participation fees are non-refundable. If a trip is cancelled by the host or TripTailor, you will be notified.

B. Packaged Trips

These are longer, structured trips (often across cities or countries), fully organized by TripTailor or verified partners.

Payment Structure: You'll receive a full itinerary and quote. A deposit may be required at booking, with the balance due before travel.

Cancellations: Cancellation policies will be clearly stated for each trip. Refunds depend on the notice period and agreements with our partners.

Insurance: You are responsible for your own travel and medical insurance unless stated otherwise.

4. Responsibilities of Users

Respect Other Travelers: We foster safe, inclusive, and respectful travel communities.
Be On Time: Honor your booking, especially for Pay-As-You-Go experiences.
Follow Local Laws: You're responsible for your conduct and compliance with local laws.

5. Trip Hosting

Hosts must:

Provide accurate trip details and pricing.
Be responsive and present on the day of the event.
Ensure a safe, inclusive experience for participants.

TripTailor reserves the right to suspend hosts who violate our guidelines or cancel trips irresponsibly.

6. Payments & Fees

All payments are processed through our secure system.
Participation fees are non-refundable unless the trip is cancelled by TripTailor.
Hosts receive a portion of the participation fee (30%), paid after trip confirmation.

7. Modifications and Termination

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of the platform at any time. If you violate these Terms, we may suspend or terminate your access.

8. Liability

TripTailor is a facilitator. While we do our best to vet trips and hosts, we are not responsible for unforeseen events, including but not limited to: injuries, property loss, delays, or cancellations. Users are encouraged to take necessary personal precautions and insurance.

9. Data & Privacy

We collect and store personal data for the purpose of coordinating and processing trips alone. Your information will never be sold to third parties.
